Fort Erie

Monday 5th August 2019, Fort Erie.
Well I’m still rolling on.
Beautiful day and a beautiful days riding. About half along a lovely bike route called the Friendship Trail built over an old rail line.
The afternoon visiting the old Fort Erie which changed hands several times in the War of 1812. Also the site of the bloodiest battle on Canadian soil.
As well as feeling tired the last few days I’ve started getting really painful saddle soreness which hasn’t been a problem for the last 15 months. I put this down to subconsciously changing my riding position to try and protect the bike frame. I have been leaning as far forward as I can putting as much weight through my arms on the handlebars. Today consciously forcing myself to ride in my normal position things have gone much better. Hey ho, the knock on effects.
Miles to go 629.
