Sunday 7th July 2019, Springfield Missouri.
There was just one aim today. To cycle to Springfield without aggravating the knee again. Mission accomplished!
Amazing the mental energy required to cycle slowly and resist the temptation to speed up. Later in the day the storm clouds gathered, a head wind and the rain came. But it could have been much worse.
124 km. This was longer than any ride for practically the first year before I reached Australia.
Couple of reroutes forced by road closures.
Highlight was finding Nottingham castle after cycling over 16,000 miles, see photo.
Rest day tomorrow.
