Tuesday 11th June 2019, Winslow.
Another fantastic day. Starting in Flagstaff at 2,200 m the only way was down so a great day’s cycling. 110 km with a new fastest daily average speed of 25 km. It would have been more but the fast speed allowed me to take a 25 km detour to visit the Meteor Crater. This has a diameter of about a kilometre a depth of 200 metres and was created 50,000 years ago. In the 1960’s it was used for lunar astronaut training.
