Adelaide: Day 2

Wednesday 10th April 2019, Adelaide.
The morning continuing to look around the city. This included visiting two cathedrals which faced each other across the road. The first was St Peter’s Anglican cathedral. The second the Adelaide Oval home to Don Bradman arguably the greatest sportsman of all time in any sport.
In the afternoon I went for a leisurely ride along the river Torrens to the sea and then up the coast for a bit. Beautiful.

The view from the slips where I used to field. Wouldn’t have had many catches here from the Don.

This early 19th century document talks about protecting the rights of the Aborigines and then having the privileges of British subjects. Very enlightened for the time but seems to have got lost over time.
