Wednesday 20th February 2019, Kaiping.
Rest day but it’s not really that so I’m better off calling it a non cycling day except. That I cycled 53km looking at the sights around here. Suggestions as to what I should call these days please!
Anyway another day of wonderful surprise. Kaiping has lots of “diaolou” which are house towers built in the early years of the 20th century to provide protection for the occupants against attack. Not come across anything quite like them before. They are unique, fascinating and a World Heritage Sight that warrants it. They are spread around a bit though hence the need for the cycling. The sun even came out in the afternoon.
A great day.
A longer ride of 100km tomorrow.
