Beihai

Tuesday 12th February 2019, Beihai
A really good days cycling of 100km. Initially through a forested area and latterly along the coast to the seaside resort of Beihai. Cold and misty. I can remember going for many a run early on Christmas morning in these conditions.
I’ve sorted the navigation problems with Maps.me by setting up a route in Google Maps using VPN and the hotel WiFi. This works beautifully during the day.
Less good was realising that I have another bike problem. The rear pannier frame has broken. One of the vertical load bearing tubes has cracked right the way through. I’ve patched it up with Gorilla tape. We’ll see how it goes.

This guy was literally cracking the whip as a public display. The crack would resonate around the square every 5 seconds or so.
