A Day in Siem Reap

Saturday 5th January, Siem Reap.

Visiting the temples of Angkor today. They are magnificent but not quite as good, I felt, as the hype had led me to believe. Perhaps it’s management of expectations. However this is not always the case as Petra did live up to the hype when Christine and I visited a couple of years ago.
As the temples are very spread out managed 45km on the bike.
Chose the fried frog for dinner tonight. A low proportion of meat to bone as a small animal. Interesting but I’ll not be in a hurry to repeat. French frogs legs are much better.

The kids were balancing on the branch of a banyan tree. I had a go much to their delight. It’s harder than it looks!
