Jaipur: Day 1

Friday 19th October, Jaipur.

A day looking round.
Visited the City Palace of the Maharajah who is still in residence. Then another surprise, Jantar Mantar an early 18th century observatory. I can vaguely remember having read about it but it was spectacular.
Also came across a Hindu religious procession of hundreds with loud music and firecrackers plus the filming of a Bollywood film at the Maharaja’s palace.
Stomach is getting better but woke up feeling drained this morning. Don’t know whether that’s the effect of the Delhi Belly, not eating quite as much to fuel the cycling or the temperature and the dust. Probably a combination. Anyway booked in for another day staying in Jaipur tomorrow.
